Is it a good time to buy property?

i lived in Australia for over 4 years, always renting, the money spent on rent has been huge. was thinking if it's a better idea to buy for myself, be my own landlord. However, I kinda of slow, missed the 'first home owner grant", and seeing the interested rate keeps rising, I would like to ask like-minded if it's a good time to buy property now? thanks

Well, its good to but your own property because wasting so much money on paying rent is a foolish act, Property rates are down so people are earning by renting there properties..

I guess its always better to buy than rent if you can. even without grants or with bigger rates, you can find good deal. just set your budget (leave a bit of space for more interest rate rises), find area you like and type of property and you may just find a perfect one.

Question is do you looking to buy for yourself or as investment?
